Naga can't be considered a fullycomplete race because they are still missing a lot of units and several buildings and they are not playable in custom games. In fact I think Naga could have and should have been a complete race but Blizzard probably got lazy and gave us a half finished race that could have been so cool to play on custom games.
and thats my point it was like they started it but did not care to finish they even made the portraits that you earn from playing as a race 25 Human wins=rifflemen 25 random wins=Naga 750=Vashj 1000=Illdian.
I tried to be nice but you are a plain dumbass. Firstly, you do not play 1 on 1 on high level, else you would know how stupid your suggestion to add a new race is. 2nd shut up and dont call others noobs and maphackers when you dont know what your talking and suck at what is called making a remaster version, reforged and not a new expansion.
That being said, ActiBlz is cutting costs for spending this year, so I doubt more resources will be put into supporting Reforged after release. This game isnt strong for monetization as it is, a few hero skins arent going to turn this game into a huge sweeping success with high demand for more content. New races arent in the cards, its more effort than its worth for Blizzard to make money off of compared to skin sales. Skins are risk-free since they dont need to be balanced or risk breaking the game over.
We dont even need naga in multiplayer tournaments or what ever, just add them as a fully fleshed out for custom games and playing against AI, add all kinds of extra races in the non pvp matchmaking system. So the 1% elitist can get a hard on for their non evolved gameplay that be the exact same in the old version while the actual community who just wants fun and more content can enjoy it far away from the 1% toxic elite group.
If we are graced with the option of having a new expansion in the future, then sure, we can move forward with wanting new content. However as far as Reforged goes, I would also advocate keeping the balance of current WC3 the same because that is the focus of Reforged. That is the single-most important factor in bringing any new idea concepts to the table; whether it be a new race, updated pathing, or any changes to the Upkeep system.
Of course there would be the issue of balancing the race since people consider it water restricted and what not. People seem to forget that you play the Naga mostly on solid ground during the campaign with only a few maps that had goodly sized bodies of water that you had to cross or got to see the Naga in their element. The only unique ability they have as a race is to stay submerged in water, like Criptwavers stay buried underground to ambush you. On sea or a big lake, this would be a horribly strong advantage since they could easily overpower ships.Another issue is with the Naga Royal Guards, those are the strongest units you can train from a playable, not to mention the Hydra.I hope this race gets added after it receives the necessary balancing. I would love to play it on my own terms and not restricted to the Campaign.
But recent balance shows, the Balance Team does not fully understand the balance, perhaps a new team and they did overbuff and overnerf Elf, Human and Orc things. I could imagine what would happen if they had to balance a 5th race.
You do realise that nearly all the abilities Naga units have are recycled from other races: frost armor, cyclone, slow poison, abolish magic, ensnare. They have half a tech tree designed only to get through the campaign.
Where Naga would be the most unique and fitting would be on a new map pool where all of the other 4 races had a Shipyard available, and the Naga did not, because of their special amphibious movement type feature.
To that end, Blizzard hired the user Kam who created a mod that is much like this named Beyond the Throne that includes a full-on finished Naga race, as well as a Shipyard for the Orcs and for the Humans. It is availab
