Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 is a fighting game released for the PlayStation 2 and the Wii by Namco Bandai on October 4, 2007 in Japan, followed by its North American release, on November 13, 2007 and November 9, 2007, respectively. In North America, the Wii port saw a delayed release, due to demand of the high-definition widescreen port.
Like its predecessor, despite being released under the Dragon Ball Z label, Budokai Tenkaichi 3 essentially touches upon all series installments of the Dragon Ball franchise, featuring numerous characters and stages set in Dragon Ball , Dragon Ball Z , Dragon Ball GT and numerous film adaptations of Z. The game also features one of Akira Toriyama's original characters, related to Dragon Ball through crossovers, Arale Norimaki from Dr. Slump.
The game features one of the original characters of the Dragon Ball franchise - Arale Norimaki from Dr. Slump . He will appear only in this installment of the Dragon Ball series, which is playable in the first mission of the game. It is also the only game to feature a playable character from the manga adaptations (DBZ GT) besides the previous installments Dragon Ball: The Path To Power and Dragon Ball Z: Ginyu Force .
