The Fall Creators Update has been in development under its code name of Redstone 3 since this past April as Windows Insiders have tested a total of 17 builds so far through the companies public testing program. Currently Windows Insiders are at the beginning of a bump in the release pace for Fall Creators Update builds as Microsoft works to stabilize the final code to eliminate bugs and performance issues from this, the fourth major feature update for Windows 10.

Microsoft has confirmed what is expected with the OS version of upcoming Windows 10 major feature update with the release of the latest version of Windows 10 Insider Preview build. The next major feature update version of Windows 10 is labeled version 1809, which is now updated as the OS version in the Windows 10 Build 17741 released for Windows Insiders on the Fast ring. Previously, the OS version of Windows 10 RS5 branch continued to have OS version as 1803, the version number of Windows 10 April 2018 Update.

Actually the "android.local" lookup is provided by bonjour service running in windows. VirtualHere gets the android.local. name from bonjour then it attempts to resolve the name to an ip address using the windows dns resolver system. This in theory has a hook to the bonjour system that will resolve that name to the ip address. My guess is something is not right with that hook. However im not sure until i test here...
