While Jack is inside working, the Doctor admits he abandoned Jack purposely because of the immortality Rose granted to Jack.[N 5] Jack readies the rocket for launch. Martha unintentionally draws attention to the Professor's fob watch, similar to the one which changed the Doctor from a Time Lord into a human.[N 6] She rushes to tell the Doctor about the watch as the Professor hears voices coming from it.

The Doctor initiates the launch sequence of the rocket at the same time that the Professor opens the fob watch. A frantic Doctor runs back to the control room, but the Professor lets the Futurekind inside the silo. Chantho confronts the Professor. He responds that his name is the Master. Chantho and the Master both fatally injure each other. The Master leaves in the TARDIS, with the hand inside, and regenerates into a younger form. The Doctor, Jack, and Martha are stranded.

"Utopia" was first broadcast in the United Kingdom on BBC One on 16 June 2007. There is no doubt that the Delinquents are the heart and soul of The 100. The 100 is, quite literally, their story. The first half of this season focused on the dissolution of this core unit. Clarke, Bellamy, Raven, Octavia, Monty, Jasper, and Miller all struggled with their connections to their world at some level after the events of Mount Weather left them broken. Our heroes ran away, made bad decisions, slid into depression, and sought solace in destructive ways. Several structural missteps made some of the arcs harder to watch than others and also kept all three storylines separate until this episode. That made for a lot of wheel-spinning, but finally, here we are. The storylines are crossing, secrets are being told, confrontations are happening, and the Delinquents are finally back together. Hallelujah! It feels like The 100 again!

Raven awakes and she is guarded by Jasper. A.L.I.E. tells Raven to escape and loosen her bonds by dislocating her shoulder. Jasper calls for Bellamy and the others and Raven growls to be let go. A.L.I.E. asks for the chip via Clarke and Raven says that if she lets Raven die she will never get A.L.I.E. 2. Raven calms down and lets Clarke bandage her. Clarke tells the others that she will take first watch and Jasper gets annoyed saying he doesn't take orders from her. Bellamy tries to calm Jasper down but Jasper is still angry at Clarke about Maya and says that at least Raven is worth saving. Bellamy tells Jasper that he shouldn't let his anger get in the way but Jasper says that when Bellamy is angry, people die and says just ask that girl (Niylah) over there.

Back at Niylah's, Bellamy and Jasper are watching Raven. She begins to make fun of Jasper and calls him a waste of space and mockingly claims that everybody should protect him. Bellamy sends Jasper out and Raven begins to talk to Bellamy about how he is not a leader. Clarke has only been back a day already Bellamy is taking orders. She says that it's a shame he was never very devoted to Gina but says that at least he avenged her by murdering the army of grounders. Niylah overhears and despite Clarke telling her not to, Niylah runs in and yells at Bellamy as she knows he was one of the people responsible for her father's death. Clarke gets her out but it is too late as A.L.I.E. knows where they are. Bellamy apologizes to Niylah but Niylah says that people like him always are.

(Upper Team) There was a joyfulness to this routine that was the polar opposite to the pain of the door number last week, and yet it was no less beautifully danced. Even better, by putting everyone in gold, there was a more equal sharing of the spotlight throughout the dance. This is an incredible group top to bottom, so it's nice to see everyone get a chance to shine. The story was a bit muddled at times, but the lyricism was so delicate and smooth and perfectly timed, it was nevertheless mesmerizing to watch.

Meanwhile, Bashir and Sisko are inside a large, blandly-decorated administration building within the Sanctuary District, with two guards standing watch outside the entrance as homeless people walk by. In a waiting room, Sisko steps onto a spot marked with two footprints and is instructed to place each of his hands on a scanning device and look straight ahead as the machine takes a photograph of him. The three of them walk over to a nearby counter, where Vin accesses a computer via a pen-liked device similar to that which Dax used. Bashir and Sisko exchange looks as a computerized female voice welcomes Vin to the SafeTech fingerprint database. It informs him that his government discount has been accepted and advertises its retinal scan service on channel 178, but when the computer processes the fingerprints provided, it is unable to identify either of the new arrivals. Confused, Vin observes that it is as if Bashir and Sisko do not exist. "Well, since we don't exist, why not let us go" Bashir asks. As the two of them have no IDs and no money and are dressed like clowns, Vin seems to think the matter is self-explanatory and tells Bashir to figure it out for himself. His voice turns polite as he hands Bashir and Sisko a pair of clipboards with various forms and asks them to fill out the paperwork the best of their ability and reminds them that interpreters are available if they do not speak English and that the questions can be given verbally if they are unable to read. "Now sit down, shut up, fill out the forms, and if you've got any problems, don't come to me with them," he adds. Bashir thanks Vin sarcastically.

Sisko describes how the Sanctuary residents will take over the district and take several guards hostage, only to have the government send troops in to restore order, killing hundreds of residents in the process. Bashir notes that, while Starfleet's temporal displacement policy sounds good in theory, it will not be easy to stand by and watch hundreds of people die. However, Sisko assures him that the riots will alter the course of history thanks to Gabriel Bell, the man for whom the riots were named. When the government troops stormed the compound based on rumors that the hostages were dead, they found none of the hostages had been harmed thanks to Bell, who sacrificed his own life to save them. Public opinion subsequently turned against the notion of sanctuary districts, and the planet began to address its social problems; therefore, if they warn any of the people of what is going to happen, they risk altering a pivotal moment in history. Vin interrupts them to inform them that it is their turn to be processed.

They approach the gates, with the Futurekind closing the distance. The guard yells at them to show their teeth, admitting them to the Silo once they show their normal human teeth. A soldier fires an assault rifle at the Futurekind to force them back; when Jack remarks that the Doctor didn't tell him to put his gun down, the Doctor points out that the soldier is not his responsibility. The Futurekind leader reluctantly orders his minions to fall back; they retreat a short distance where they can keep watch on the Silo. The man asks the soldier if he can be taken to Utopia, which the soldier happily responds to affirmatively.

Yana is in tears, remembering stories of time travel from the old days that he never believed. He pulls out a fob watch, remarking that he was always late with time and the watch never worked. Martha is shocked, recalling the Doctor having a similar watch which he used to become human to avoid the Family of Blood. She asks where he got it, and Yana remarks that he was found with the watch, "an orphan in the storm", on the coast of the Silver Devastation. Yana says it is broken, and Martha asks how he could know if he has never opened it. Martha turns over the watch and finds Gallifreyan inscriptions on it. 59ce067264
